Synopsis :

Adapté du récit autobiographique de Saroo Brierley. Au milieu des années 80 en Inde, Saroo vit dans la plus extrême pauvreté. A 5 ans, il est séparé de sa famille et se retrouvé sans domicile fixe dans les rues de Calcutta. Bientôt recueilli par une famille australienne, il apprend l'anglais, intègre une autre culture, loin de ses origines. Devenu adulte, Saroo décide de retrouver la trace de sa mère...
