New Signing : Frans Bak

Frans Bak signs worldwide publishing deal with Wise Music Group We are proud to welcome Frans Bak with Edition Wilhelm Hansen, part of Wise Music Group! For more than 30 years, he has created the soundtracks for some of the most popular productions in Scandinavian film and TV, and his music has set new standards within music for dramaseries all over the world. Lilyhammer, Doctor Foster, Disparue and The Killing. Those are only a few of the titles on Frans Bak's impressive résumé. Bak is considered one of the pioneers of the "Nordic Noir"- genre and his music has an exceptional ability to keep the viewer on the edge of their seat.In addition to his career as a film composer, he has also released albums with independent productions. In 2016, Bak released the album "Sound of North", where the main inspiration is his upbringing. The result is an atmospheric blend of cold, mindfulness and calm, which is pushing musical boundaries. Frans Bak is set to release an album of new musical works, Piano, in spring 2020, the latest single ‘Waiting’ from the album was released April 17. You can Listen here On his forthcoming album Frans was inspired by locating the same piano he used to play on as a child. He has revisited his childhood years and his love of creating simple and beautiful piano melodies whilst incorporating his extraordinary musical journey to date.

Rebotini - Ep.5 - The Masquerade

Source (Fip) Après avoir transformé la chloroquine en remède techno puis avoir pris la clé des champs la semaine passée avec le morceau ETAT NATUREL, c'est un objet de désir très actuel dont le producteur hexagonal s'empare aujourd'hui avec THE MASQUERADE; Pétri par un beat froid et rapide, ce nouveau titre prend ainsi des airs de carnaval ténébreux marqué par le chant toujours aussi sombre d'Arnaud Rebotini. Une nouvelle fois mis en images par l'INA (Institut National de l'Audiovisuel), THE MASQUERADE puise dans le fond d'archives de l'instituion pour illustrer et détourner l'hystérie provoquée par la pénurie de masques dans notre pays. Ce qui ne doit bien sûr pas empêcher chacun s'il en existe, de pouvoir en porter!

Le producteur hexagonal vient de mettre en ligne un titre inédit composé le premier jour de son propre confinement. On peut toujours compter sur Arnaud Rebotini. Producteur et musicien multi-casquettes, cet as des claviers a connu la renommée en 2018 avec la sortie du film de Robin Campillo 120 battements par minute dont il a signé l’excellente bande-originale. Couronné par un César la même année, le patron de Black Strobe Records n’a pas cessé depuis d’enchaîner les tournées et les projets jusqu’à se retrouver, comme chacun, confiné aujourd’hui chez lui.... The catalogue includes Flow 1 and Flow 2 from Ekki Hugsa 360°, a commission from the Reeperbahn Festival, plus all upcoming works. HILDUR GUÐNADÓTTIR BECOMES FIRST SOLO FEMALE WINNER OF GRAMMY FOR BEST SCORE SOUNDTRACK

The Grammy Awards 2020 took place on the evening of Sunday 26th January and Music Sales are delighted to announce Hildur Guðnadóttir has become the first ever solo female winner of the Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for Chernobyl. This Grammy is added to an Emmy Guðnadóttir has also won for this work as well as a recent Golden Globe Award and Oscar and Bafta Nomination for her Joker score. Hildur Guðnadóttir has won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score for her haunting soundtrack to Joker. Nominated alongside Randy Newman, Alexandre Desplat, Thomas Newman and Daniel Pemberton, Guðnadóttir's win makes her the first-ever solo female winner in this category. In her acceptance speech, Guðnadóttir thanked Joker director Todd Phillips and star Joaquin Phoenix for their support; "Thank you, Todd, for inviting me on the journey of a lifetime, for all the trust and your faith and openness.
