Christopher Paul Stelling

Biographie

Christopher Paul Stelling is a folk singer-songwriter and guitarist known for incendiary performances and his own blend of finger-picked guitar, howled laments, and Southern Gothic lyrics.

Stelling earned critical accolades for his 2012 debut long-player, Songs of Praise and Scorn, with critics citing both his soulful songwriting, which is steeped in blues, country, and folk, and technical acumen. 2013’s False Cities saw Stelling embarking on his first European tour; and by the time his third studio album, Labor Against Waste, hit the streets in 2015, he had played over 400 shows at home and abroad in a three-year period.

His music has been described as having a fearless quality to it alongside a voice that sounds both old and young with lyrics that are both dramatic and intensely confessional.
